Voluntary Administration
This is a relatively new procedure in New Zealand - introduced in late 2007. Voluntary administrations are a corporate rehabilitative procedure where an administrator is appointed by the company. VA's are unique as typically they have a short duration with all assets frozen while the options are investigated. All options are then presented to the creditors for a vote, with the outcome then being implemented.Due to the extensive pool of knowledge within the Insolvency Management team we are able to suggest and work through the best options available to the company, whether that is implementing a Deed of Company Arrangement or liquidation of the company.
